What we monitor

Know when a trough is getting low, in every pasture.

Refill supplement before cattle go without.

Order diesel and gas on time and spot unexpected drops.

Read the tank from your phone, not the yard.

Keep tractors and trucks running without a shortage.

Know if a well or solar pump stops moving water.
See it in action
Watch how LevelCon keeps an eye on water, feed, fuel and more — so you don't have to drive out to check.
A day on the ranch
6 stops · every pasture, every day
1 stop · only where the alert isHot-day protection
On a 100°F day, cattle can drain a trough far faster than usual. LevelCon alerts you when a level crosses the limit you set — so you can act before it runs dry.
The hardware
Solar-powered sensor and gateway in one unit. Mount it on a trough or stock tank with no power and no extra box — and no cell signal needed. XSync R adds built-in 60 GHz radar that reads level from above without touching the water.

Reads your existing sensors and meters and sends the data over 4G LTE — fuel, propane, DEF, pumps and more.
Which one fits? Remote trough with no power or cell signal → XSync. Existing sensors or a fuel trailer → F200 Gateway.

Ranch Monitoring Guide
Ranch monitoring, explained
Short answer
Ranch monitoring puts sensors on water troughs, stock tanks, lick tanks, fuel, propane and DEF tanks, and pumps, then sends scheduled readings to your phone with an alert when anything crosses a limit you set. Ranchers use it to replace the daily drive past every trough with one trip to the place that actually needs attention.
A level sensor on the trough or stock tank measures the water, and a cellular or satellite device sends that reading to the LevelCon platform on a schedule, where you see it on your phone and get an SMS, email or app alert when it drops below your low limit.
Troughs and stock tanks sit far from power and often far from cell coverage, so the device has to supply both. XSync combines the sensor and the gateway in one solar-powered unit, with satellite connectivity for pastures where cellular doesn't reach.
The trend matters as much as the level. A trough that drops fast points to a leak or a stuck float. A trough that stays low and never refills points to a pump, well or supply-line problem.
Most ranches also run on liquid feed, fuel, propane, DEF and pumps, and each one causes a costly scramble when it runs out unnoticed.
No. XSync units connect over Cat-M1 and NB-IoT cellular where there is coverage and over satellite where there isn't, so remote troughs and tanks keep reporting either way.
The F200 gateway is cellular only, so it fits home base, the equipment yard and fuel trailers, where coverage is usually better. Our guide to cellular vs. satellite gateways explains how to choose.
Manual checks add up quickly. At 6 check trips a week and 40 round-trip miles per trip, that is about 1,039 miles and roughly 35 hours behind the wheel every month at 30 mph.
Monitoring doesn't remove every trip — you still refill, repair and feed. It removes the trips that end with "the trough was fine," and sends you straight to the one that isn't.
Cattle drink considerably more water as temperatures climb, so a trough that lasts a day in mild weather can empty in hours during a heat wave.
Set the low alert with enough margin to drive out and refill, and raise it ahead of forecast heat. Because LevelCon alerts on the limit you set, not on your check schedule, a fast drop reaches your phone without waiting for the next round.
Got questions about LevelCon remote tank monitoring? Here are answers to the most common queries.
Ranch monitoring is the use of remote sensors to track water troughs, stock tanks, lick tanks, fuel, propane, DEF and pumps across a ranch. Readings are sent to your phone on a schedule, and you get an alert when a level crosses a limit you set, so you only drive out when something needs attention.
XSync can connect over satellite, so even your most remote troughs and tanks keep reporting where cell coverage runs out. The F200 gateway is cellular only, so it is best used at home base, in the equipment yard and on fuel trailers.
No. XSync charges itself with a built-in solar panel, so it runs on troughs and stock tanks with no power. The F200 gateway runs on battery, with up to 5 years of battery life.
Devices report at a scheduled interval you choose. XSync also sends threshold and rate-of-change alarms in an instant burst instead of waiting for the next scheduled report, so a fast drop reaches you sooner.
Alerts arrive by SMS, email and the LevelCon app. You set the low limit for each trough or tank, and you can see the current level, the last reading and the 7-day history on your phone.
XSync mounts on the trough or tank and pairs with the LevelCon app by scanning the QR code printed on the unit. The F200 connects to existing level sensors and meters through a single watertight connector. A LevelCon engineer can help you choose sensors for each tank.
Pricing depends on how many troughs and tanks you want to monitor and which hardware fits each one. Book a demo and we will put together a quote for your ranch.
